Bio: Lorenzo “Lozo” Jeffries, a SoCal native, is a Singer/Songwriter/Musician who started playing piano “by ear” at age 7. The boring piano and music lessons that filled much of his formative years just didn’t stick. He wanted to feel the music, not read it on a page. Although he set the sheet music aside he never abandoned his love for music or his passion for playing the piano. Early on Lozo discovered contemporary jazz artists like George Duke, Marcus Miller, and Patrice Rushen all the while listening to the funk bands of the 70's and 80's. He recalls saying “Now this is the music I wish they would have taught me at piano class.” In his youth, Lozo could always be found listening to a radio at home, in the car, or on the street. While the other boys were outside playing basketball, he was inside digging into a stack of pancakes, watching Soul Train, and playing the keyboards. Lozo immersed himself in the world of those deep bass lines and tight drum beats of the 70's and 80's that gave rise to the era of the jazz/R&B/Funk fusion. Lozo will tell you “This is how I got my swagger and style.” Lozo's brand new album "Big Stack" is serving up something for everyone. This is for those of you in love or just looking, for the lonely single ladies who might be a little jazzy, or for the fellas who just wanna ride to something funky. Do yourself a favor and check out the hit single "Swang On" It will definitely get you off your butt and on your feet. So get yourself a tall glass of ice cold milk, some warm syrup and melted butter, ‘cause the only thing better than a small stack, is a "Big Stack.”
