Christ Church Episcopal Cathedral is the oldest house of worship in Louisville, being established in 1822. It is a beautiful space visually and acoustically, making it an excellent environment for making music, both instrumental and choral. The Cathedral is proud to continue a long tradition of excellent music performed by fine musicians with a supportive congregation. In addition to regular Sunday morning worship, the Cathedral hosts many services in the evening led by the choir, with Evensong, Lessons and Carols, and Christmas Eve being among these significant musical offerings. It is from these rich musical offerings and our dedication to American composers that this recording emanated.
