简介
Jargon Dyonisis, or just Jargon, is a rapper from Chicago. He found his calling as an off-the-top freestyle battle rapper. But once the whole written battle rap era started, he focused his time writing songs instead. His biggest claim to fame might be one of the most unplanned events of his career. In 2011, his single, Ride with Me (aka Talk 2 Me), ended up on a leaked version of Lil Wayne’s Carter IV Mixtape, which saw over 40 million plays on Youtube alone. And for this, Jargon received the biggest paycheck of his life, signed by Cash Money Records, Universal Music Group. The grind didn’t stop there. As an Asian American artist, Jargon started teaming up with other Asian YouTube stars, Timothy De La Ghetto, Lil Crazed and others doing concerts throughout the country. Shows, music videos and social media have all helped build a buzz for the multi-talented Jargon. Who not only raps, but raises a son, directs music videos, plays Wide Receiver for a Semi-Pro Football team, and works behind the scenes with a new innovative online ticketing company, Sparxo, to sell out all of his events. Outside of the business end of things, music has always been an outlet for this West-side Chicagoan. Last November, Jargon took a huge loss, losing his brother to an unexpected suicide. Having been in the studio for the entire year, this put a stop to his independent project. Before he could resume, he had to write his brother one last song. It took 4 long studio sessions and countless hours of writing before it was complete, and is now Jargon’s personal favorite recording of all time. The song, titled “Almost There,” has given his family hope and strength and will be the last song on his Made in Chicago EP, set for release in June. Stay tuned.
