简介
Canadian poet and songwriter Dawud Wharnsby's says about his adaptation of the traditional nursery rhyme "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star": "My sarcastic humour sometimes gets the better of me...as does my frustration with how we little humans often treat the earth on which we live and the universe we inhabit. Dawud Wharnsby began writing poetry, composing music and performing on stage, while in his mid teens. His first collection of original songs entitled “Blue Walls and The Big Sky” was released in 1995, followed by a string of internationally popular recordings including "The Poets And The Prophet" and "Out Seeing The Fields". His writings have become a voice for socially conscious and spiritually minded activists of the 21st century, with the philosophy behind his work inspiring an entire generation of educators, artisans, poets and musicians. Dawud has produced over 15 recordings, performs concerts world-wide and frequently lectures at universities, schools and conferences. Dawud, his wife and their daughter reside seasonally at homes in Pakistan, Colorado, USA and and Waterloo, Canada.
