This album is hard to classify under one genre. There's country influences like on "If Nashville", to a jazz feel and horns blazing on "One Track Mind". It's drawn comparisons from Beck to Tracy Chapman. With Andy and Producer Archie Thompson playing majority of the instruments on the album, an organic sound was developed over the course of creating MATTER. This album digs deep on social issues, such as the failed Immigration policies described in "Destination Loneliness", to PTSD and suicide prevention in the title track "Matter". With longtime Eagles piano player Mike Thompson adding some beautiful accordian on the tracks "He Said She Said" and "Work", there's music for everyone on this, the Debut album, from Andy Mauser.
