In 2015, I traveled to Paris, Berlin, and Prague, taking me to new places far away from home. It made me feel alive to let go of my security. Life was interesting and exciting outside of my comfort zone. However, when I came back I realized that living outside my comfort zone is actually a day-to-day thing. We were not meant to stay in one place. Drawing influences from Kygo, Major Lazer, and music channels such as Majestic Casual, "Take Me Home" is a response to the loud, gaudy sounds in music today. I want to give you a taste of who I am, but also explore new production techniques as well as song composition. The chorus of the song came to me one day when I was out with some friends, some strangers. We roamed the streets of Chicago searching for somewhere to wind down the night. I have nothing against night life culture. But at the end of a journey, when the lust to wander has faded, there is always a longing to return. "Take Me Home" is about finding peace in the everyday, because home is not a physical place but a feeling, or a friend.
