简介

RagaRanga® - is proud to present first of its kind instrumental music CD by three New-Age classical musicians from India. Created exclusively by RagaRanga®, this CD fulfills the promise of unique and spiritual music experience. Rakesh Chaurasia performs romantic evening Raga (Composition) on Bamboo Flute lovingly referred as Bansuri in India. Amazing Abhijit Pohankar with his magic fingers plays late evening Raga on Indian Classical Keyboard. Tabla Wizard - Vijay Ghate’s accompaniment takes this soulful experience to new heights. 1] Raga Hemavati by Rakesh Chaurasia on Flute with Vijay Ghate on Tabla Raga Hemavati is a complete (sampurna) raga. The mood of the raga is devotional as well as romantic. Basically it is an evening raga and is derived from the South Indian scale. The aroha {ascending} notes are Sa Re Ga {komal} Ma {tivra} Pa Dha Ni {komal} and Sa, the decending is exactly oppsite. Since its using all the 7 notes its called Sampurna raga. The ‘gat’ is a composition in ‘mat-taal’ {9 beats} followed by a ‘drut gat’ in Teen taal {16 beats} 2] Raga Rageshree by Abhijit Pohankar on Indian Classical Keyboard with Vijay Ghate on Tabla Raga Rageshree is a beautiful night raga which is very Romantic in nature and is rendered during the late part of the evening. The aroha {ascending} notes are Sa Ga Ma Dha Ni {komal} Sa and the ascending is Sa Ni {komal} Dha Ma Ga Ma Re Sa. The ‘rishabh’ (Re) is subtly used while descending and hence its an audav-shadav raga meaning it has 5 notes while ascending and 6 notes while descending. The mood of the raga is quite subtle and romantic, hence you need utmost delicacy in rendering it. The ‘gat’ is played in 10 beats {Jhaptal} followed by a ‘drut gat’ in ‘ektaal’ {12 beats} 3] Dhun- The dhun is played by both Rakesh Chaurasia and Abhijit Pohankar with Vijay Ghate on Tabla Dhun is like a duet of Flute and the Indian Classical Keyboard. It is based on Raga Darbari and has a new age music effect which produces a relaxing mood for the listeners. Basically it is an easy listening piece. Pt Vijay Ghate has played a nice 7 beats pattern very differantly from taal Rupak. 4] Pahadi dhun - played by both Rakesh Chaurasia and Abhijit Pohankar with Vijay Ghate on Tabla. The Trademark of both these artists who have taken it in abundance from there gurus Pt Hariprasad chaurasia’s pahadi is one of the most famous along with Pt Shiv kumar sharma, and Abhijit who is deciple of Pt Shivji and son of Pt Ajay pohankar whose pahadi thumris have been a treat to listen to since last 40 years, make this dhun something to remember. It has nice textures along with sweet flute tone of Rakesh and keyboard by Abhijit. This dhun would remind people of the beautiful Himalayas and its folk music. Pt Vijay Ghate playes a nice dadra of 6 beats amalgamating into a kehrwa of 8 beats cycle to end the piece. This unique CD is surely a collectors item © 2006 RagaRanga®
