DEBARRO (Medellín, Colombia) is a world music quartet with folk roots. We perform covers of traditional music from the Americas, as well as our own original tunes. "De barro" means "made of mud" in Spanish, but it's also an expression for malleable or ever-changing. Our arrangements use rock, funk, jazz, and a mix of Latin music genres to transform the songs, while still respecting their folk origins. We are: Rebecca Levi (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) from New York City Cristian Tobón (lead guitar, lead and backing vocals) from Medellín Jorge Barrero (bass, Andean flutes) from Circasia Edwin Gómez (percussion) from Medellín Our first album, DEBARRO, includes 8 songs from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, and the U.S.
