At the request of the Filmmaker and Director Lee Daniels, I wrote "Somethin's Comin' My Way" in 2008 for the as yet unreleased and uncompleted film "Precious: Based On The Novel Push By Sapphire. The film took top honors at Sundance in 2008 and was released by Lionsgate in 2009. In 2010 Precious was nominated for several Academy Awards and took two for Screenplay (Geoffrey Fletcher) and Supporting Actress (MoNique). A stripped down, quiet version of "Somethin's Comin' My Way" can be heard in the background in one of the final scenes of the film, but this is the version that appeared on the soundtrack on Universal-Interscope - and the one that stands out. The song was written with Grace Hightower's smoky Alto voice in mind and in this version we kick it Old School Gospel for you. Enjoy! DAN MANJOVI
