简介
After several years in the wilderness - and two unreleased demo albums later - Telemachus eventually reconvened proper at the tail end of 2016. With Miller having started work on his 'Nevadarizonevadarizonevadarizonesandscapes' album in the fall of that year - with every intention of releasing the inventive, spaced guitar instrumentals under his lo-fi 'The Mind Robbers' moniker - he tentatively sent his recording of '149 Nuggets' to Wark for review. The very next day a revised version of the track, now underpinned with groovy beats and propulsive organ, arrived in his inbox. Thus began a flurry of activity, with files being swapped, additional tracks being recorded and a whole new energetic shape and sound for the album was born, transforming it from oblique experimental guitar collages into funky, punchy, driven instrumentals. It's still the same Telemachus at heart, only this time it's groove and mood, the pair stretching their skills - Miller here is mashing the guitar in a truly post-indie sense while Wark (finally) unleashes his canny keyboard skills and knack for a killer beat!
