简介
German duo MetanoiaX are no strangers to the world of techno. Having been producing music since 1999, Yosh & Boe have built a rich heritage for themselves, developing their own skills, as well as spreading the name on a continental level. Delicious continues their ever growing repertoire taking them from industrial techno-heads to minimal experts. The first serving on the MetanoiaX menu is Acoustical Appetiser. The track kick starts with a slow tribal vibe reminiscent of more experimental techno moguls such as Aphex Twin. The reverberations surrounding the chimes ease the listener into a frightening early atmosphere, with short cut vocals sweeping by almost unnoticed. As the track develops, these chimes become almost like a second language to fans, which will now put them deep into the mindset of this duo. Fork continues the tribal theme with deep percussion the early pace setter to track 2. Again showing signs of influence from experimentalism in dance music, the track picks up the pace of the EP which will prove a turning point for listening DJs. The bass rumbles into track 3 with what can only be described as purely addictive percussion. The name of this pre-main course dish is Stomping which adds some tasty deep beats into the concoction. The early tribal vibes have now well and truly passed as Rush Hour takes us back to the industrial mechanisms which MetanoiaX have generated their name around. The factory is back in motion just in time before the highlight of the EP, title track Delicious. The bass purposefully sets the track alight allowing the number to become one of the duos most memorable works of art. If Delicious was the main course then Final Call is a worthy dessert, with its eerie synth calls and sirens taking an almost brainwashing effect on the listener. This unique track provides a cooling off period at the end of what is another excellent MetanoiaX EP.
