I was inspired to write this song "ONE LOVE" thinking about the present state of mankind. A world riddled with so much madness, hatred, wars and killings fueled by our differences in race, gender, sexual orientation, political views, religion, ethnic and tribal rivalry. Everyday on the news there's some killing somewhere somehow provoked by some reason, a picture of a World gone mad. People are being brutalized and killed because of their sexual orientation, some ethnic groups or tribes, especially in Africa believe the other tribes are inferior or have no right to exist and must be cleansed, totally destroyed. Radical Islam is on the growth and teaches their youth to destroy whosoever is not a Muslim. In different parts of the world people who share different political views risk being killed, selfish and greedy leaders, especially in Africa and other third world nations have no believe that the people they are supposed to serve deserve even the basic things, rather they think about themselves alone while the rest of the masses live in abject poverty. In this song I am reminding us all to put away politics, religion, race, gender, sexual orientation and our selfish ways and come together to do what's right because we are one people, we are all God's own people. It doesn't matter where we come from or what name we call our God, we are one people, God's own people in one love. Let us stop the hating and the killings.
