Led by the literate singer/songwriter Mike Scott, the group’s sole constant member, the mercurial Waterboys formed in London in 1981. The band has played in a number of different styles, but most often their music can be described as a mix of Celtic folk music with rock and roll, or folk rock. An exclusive Waterboys CD called Cloud of Sound, and containing 15 fabulous tracks never before gathered on an album, will be available at venues on the Appointment With The Waterboys tour, starting at the first show, March 7, in Sandnes, in a limited edition of 5000 copies signed by Mike Scott. Many of the tracks are from Mike’s Soundcloud page and several have never been heard before. None of the song versions included have ever appeared on a CD or album until now.
