El Run-Run brings back the magical "Son Montuno" style of Cuban music made famous world-wide by the Buena Vista Social Club. Jorge Alberto "El Gallito del Son" re-captures the aura of Cachao, his musical Godfather, in this four-track digital release. The catchy choruses and "tres" infused tunes make it hard not to clap your hands and move your feet. The title track's fast tempo is Jorge Alberto's experience with nay-sayers and trash talkers. "Sigue Soneando" is a melodic tribute to the great Soneros of Cuba. Jorge Alberto takes a tongue-in-cheek view of life in Cuba in "Donde esta mi Guayabera," the "Guayabera" being the style of shirt worn by Cuban men as they harvest fruit, or in the case of this song, coffee beans. "Mi Tumbao: Version Tradicional" is the musically rich, son version of "Mi Tumbao" which was released as a "salsa" track and is the title track of Jorge Alberto's first album. Young and old will appreciate the clean lyrics and infectious rhythms of these four "Son" tracks. As Jorge Alberto says, "Without Son, there would be no 'Gallito del Son!'"
