These tracks were written in a Neapolitan 1940's vintage style - reminiscent of "La Trio Lescano" an Italian Female vocal trio of the period. The recordings feature the Swing Dolls (http://www.theswingdolls.com/Swing_Dolls/welcome.html) and studio legend Gene Cipriano (playing alto saxophone and clarinet) as well as pianist Chris Dawson. The track was composed by James Stemple (http://JamesStemple.com/) and the lyrics were written by Andrea Lee Davis who also wrote the vocal arrangement and sang with the The Swing Dolls. The lyric captures the capricious frivolity and joy of Italian life. The contemporary version was remixed by Benjamin Kahle. When Gene Cipriano came to my studio at The Lot in West Hollywood, he mentioned that he had done his first recording session on The Lot - back when it was known as Goldwyn Studios - playing all of Tony Curtis' sax solos on "Some Like It Hot."
