Monkey Harris is known for his exceptional deep releases. Not strange for a producer who says to be inspired by the Detroit sounds of Juan Atkins and the deep house grooves of Kerri Chandler. On his first EP for Lifeworld he brings home the potatoes for sure. Space Groove is a hypnotizing party stomper with a Kevin Saunderson/Dave Clark sounding synth sweeping you right off your feet! Pumping beats and mindbending electronics and effects make this a space groover for sure! On the flip you can find Monkey Harris’ ode to his smelly slippers. This tune is such a gorgeous and deep voyage. It starts off with a simple kick and snare beat shortly followed by a syncopated synth line that builds slowly and slowly… resulting in pure bless for the dance floor! Last but not least we have the quirky Makin’ Progress. This track features heavy beats, solid grooving bassline and insane string sweeps. A trippy banger! Don’t sleep!
