Piano and Pen has been an old dream of mine: to record my compositions and arrangements on a good piano, surrounded by a legion of musician-friends. Fulfilling this dream was possible only with the initial support from musicians such as Paulo André Tavares, Oswaldo Amorim and Leander Motta. They helped me bring to life several compositions, some of them recently written, while others had laid dormant in trunks and kept for 20 or 30 years. Another one who definitely contributed to the project was André Togni. He opened the doors of his recording studio "Beco da Coruja," with a state-of-the-art Kawai RX-3 piano, carefully recorded by Lautaro Wlasenkov. For the second phase of the project, I counted on André Vasconcellos, who not only worked as a bass player for the recording, but also organized everything for our long anticipated family musical reunion at the "Zaga Music," a recording studio in Rio de Janeiro. Lourenço, Marco, Andre, and the "quasi Vasconcellos," Josué Lopes, made me very happy by interpreting the notes put to paper by my pen. After that, it was easy to finish up the CD with the "more-than-special" participation of Hamilton de Holanda, Toninho Ferragutti, Pedro Martins, Ademir Junior, Kajsa Beijer, Pedro Vasconcellos, Pablo Fagundes, Marco Brito, Moisés Alves, Bruno Medina and Adil Silva.
