Originally from Quebec Canada, Gary Schmidt showed talent for the piano at a very young age and is primarily self taught though he does hold degrees both in Sacred Music (from Tyndale College, Toronto) and classical piano ( from Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto). This album was mostly originally improvised from quiet moments at the piano and then later refined into a more formal collection.
