JIJO is the gift and art of dancing! "JIJO" is a Nigerian Yoruba tribe term that in context means 'dance' and ultimately, the song is all about dancing to enjoy yourself. This could be dancing to celebrate, dancing your pain away, dancing the night away and so on. The song started with me in my home studio at the start of 2024 where I was trying to make a beat that was so infectious it would inspire you to get up and dance! Once I had a skeleton of the beat, I sent it to a long-time collaborator, Nigerian artist Ivory Blue, and he came up with the "JIJO" chorus! After that, I invited UK-based Zimbabwean artist Faith Faye to hop on it and she added a woman's flair with her feature and the rest as they say is history!
