简介
Ed Burleson is a sixth generation Texas who works construction by day and crafts traditionally minded honky tonk music by night. He has counted among his supporters the late Texas legend Doug Salm, who served as Burleson's manager nd co-produced his My Perfect World album. For that effort, Burleson was also joined by such elite Texas players as Bill Kirchen, and Lloyd Maines, among others. Burleson was born June 10, 1969. Burleson's father was a salesman so he grew up in various locations around Texas. He eventually settled in Lewisville, Texas where he was on the high school rodeo team. It was traveling to small towns and listening to small town radio that introduced him to Texas music. Burleson won a rodeo scholarship to Hill College in Hillsboro and it was there he first learned to play guitar. During college he began riding pro and acquired a knee injury. While recovering and not being able to ride his love for playing country music grew. He first started playing at a newcomer's showcase at the Three Teardrops Tavern in Dallas. Burleson's second cd was 1997's Commin' Around when he signed with Warner Brothers. His next cd My Perfect World hit number four on the country charts. Manager Doug Salm passed away in 1999. In 2002 Burleson signed with Palo Dura Records. He then released 4 more albums, plus participation on several compilation albums. Burleson married his wife Dorothy in the spring of 2010. He is a father of two boys Ben (13), and Paul (4). He also has two step children Hali (16), and Daniel Williams (15) that he loves as his own. Burleson stays in the music scene between his kids football, volleyball, baseball, and softball games. Real country music is, and always will be his passion. (written 2016)
