Dear listeners, 'Girl In The Corner Booth' is my first taste of true artistic completion. Creating a work of art so deeply rooted in my own vision of life has been invigorating. Each song depicts the essence of my emotionally vulnerable writing. This creation is singular to me in the way that it displays the talent of my beautiful friends. I infinitely thank the hard work of Ryan Madalinski (cover art), Kevin Gallagher/Mara Nasui/Collin Furlong ('As If'), AJ Barrett/Loreta Nigro ('Waiting for Devotion'), Miriam Chung ('Stop (My Ryan)'), and Brianna Brodeur/Francesca Castro ('Annabelle Street'). I also thank my family for listening to my music over, over, and over...and over again. Being able to share the process of creation with those that I care about has been so special for me, and I have learned how to experiment without the limitations of boundaries. I would also like to thank the hard work of Craig Williams at Dr. Caw Studios and Justin LeBreck at Waysound Studios. Without their dedication to 'Girl in the Corner Booth', this would not have been possible! When I set out to compile my music for a first release, I wanted to choose songs that felt raw, organic, and real. I hope that in listening to my music, you experience the overwhelming joy, disappointment, love, and vulnerability of transition. Each song dances the fragile line between loving the complexity of the human experience and craving an escape from the rapid movement of time. While some associate music and color, or music and taste, I associate my music with location. Each song recalls a vivid memory of a place which I would like to share with you: - 'Chasing Time' and 'As If' & a small cabin in the woods of Northern Michigan. - 'Waiting for Devotion' & the piano bench in my family's living room. - 'My Bet's on You' & the keyboard in my childhood bedroom. - 'Stop (My Ryan)' & a New York University dorm room. - 'Annabelle Street' & my grey Honda Civic on the way to one of my last days of high school. The artistic journey of 'Girl in the Corner Booth' has been long, detailed, and particular. I am ecstatic to finally share this music with the world around me. As I sit in my childhood bedroom, writing this message, I hope that you find your own truth within my creation. I know that this is just the beginning of a lifetime of art.
