I believe the goal of any songwriter is to craft songs that make people's lives better for 3:30 minutes at a time. The music that I write is focused on my observations of the human experience. I deliberately steer clear of spinning yarns solely about my own experiences, but instead I write about encounters and experiences of others and how I relate to them. My desire is that people listen to the music I create and it transports them to a memory of their own and they find it relatable and relevant to their own lives. There have been so many times that I have been driving down a road and a song will come on the radio and I am immediately drawn into a memory. I love to create songs that have an effect on people. Between the music and lyrics, listeners will see an image and interaction in their head that will draw them into the music and elicit powerful emotions.
