For the past year and a half I have been working hard to write, record, and design my newest project "The Dark Ages & Brighter Days". This album is a thematic soundtrack and testament of my life and the lives of many people very close to me. The title of the project accurately reflects the struggles that I have endured throughout life only to come out on top. I have spent many nights and days working on perfecting the sounds, picking the right words for the songs and stressing over how I was going to fund the project. After much struggle I can happily say that I have found my brighter days and I have finally released the highly anticipated, long awaited album! I want to thank everyone that helped me put this together and make this possible, but most of all I would like to thank God for giving me the patience to endure some of the roughest times of my life while attempting to make this dream of mine a reality. In November 2010 during the beginning stages of this project I was a passenger in a car that went out of control and slammed into a tree. The seat belt that I was wearing dug into my stomach and caused internal harm to my organs, tearing my colon apart from my intestines and ripping my lower intestines in seven different places. In the process my appendix had burst and the internal bleeding was threatening my existence. I was blessed that my brothers were in the area and came to my rescue. They drove me to the hospital in record time and the doctors were able to save my life. Had I waited for an ambulance to arrive at the scene the surgeons said I would have died from internal bleeding. This was merely one obstacle in my personal period of "dark ages". After six months of surgeries and rehabilitation and numerous hours of support from my family and friends; I was able to get back to recording, writing and designing this project. I have finally released this album and made my dream a reality! I made it through the dark ages of my life and I am now emerging into the brighter days that I PROMISE will be waiting everyone that is patient enough to endure life's hardest struggles.
