Life Of A Dustbin is British Musician Stephen Ronald Fortune(born 15th August 1984)who currently resides in County Durham. Stephen has been interested in music from an early age, .and began making his own tracks onto cassette as early as age 12 using a Yamaha keyboard and basic recording equipment ,He would play the recordings to his friends ,who were largely impressed with his recordings. Stephen has always prided himself on being a diverse and underground artist, he has covered a wide range of musical styles in the past ,He has also tried his hand at writing and in 2009 published the well received 'The Reverend And The Swordfish' novel, and although the book wasn't a big commercial success ,It sold reasonably well and remains on sale to this day, He also writes poems and his poem 'ugly World' was heavily praised by well respected poet Michael Sullivan. In 2012 under his own name ,he released the acoustic 'Telling Strangers Secrets EP' which seen him featured on local radio and Newspapers ,the EP won 2 song writing awards in the British Song Writing Contest,the were awards for the songs 'Love Turns A Happy Heart Blue' and 'The World is Mine' The latter just missing out on a place in the semi-finals of the acoustic category. Stephen is currently studying hard at Newcastle College on Music and plans to go onto University and hopes in the future to teach music, as of 2013 ,Life Of A Dustbin is his new project and he expects it to be for a long time to come, Life Of A Dustbin's music is an eclectic style of electronica, he sticks by the rules of make the music you like, not the music what you think people will like, a rebel to music shall we say. Ste is also the former lead singer of alternative rock/avant-garde band Damaged Soul and former lead singer of Relative Stranger.
