About seven years ago my Dad and I started playing music on his back porch. We played nearly every weekend, sometimes for ten hours a day or more, as Dad taught me his style of music. I played along to mostly classic country tunes from artists like Merl Haggard and Johnny Cash, but soon, as I became more comfortable playing and singing, I added songs to our playlist from artists like CCR, Lynyrd Skynyrd, etc. We began to invite friends and family over and before long we were having annual "pig pickins".

Dad and I joined a local band and played at private clubs for awhile and today we still get together and play whenever we can. Recently, my Dad got me a portable recording studio as an early Christmas present because I had written this song called "Hannah" and because we had good feeling about how the song was turning out.
