Valério features the combined talents od Serge Desaunay, whom I always considered one of the most sensitive, gifted and distinctive accordeon players around. The very fine fiddle playing of Kieran Fahy, who also penned a beautiful lament in memory of his mother, which is featured on this recording, the wonderful sax playing of Julien Favreuille and the powerful singing of Julien Biget.

The instruments weave together effortlessly and beautifully and there is a wonderful magic created which very gently casts its spell. The material is nicely varied, ranging from traditional Scottish and Irish to new compositions. Everyone gives creatively and pours his heart and soul into the music... Mairtin O'Connor
