This Exclusive Album of brand new and exclusive material from PAN label head Bill Kouligas and label luminary Valerio Tricoli is pressed on tape in limited quantities and is only available at Boomkat. It's a tantalising 4O-minute prelude to solo albums by both artists due out on PAN in 2014, the first material released by Kouligas under his own name on the label no less - the material here is exclusive to this tape. Bill's side seduces us into a glistening hyperprism of modular refraction and psychoacoustic harmonic comparable with the melting contours of Rashad Becker and the isolated synth music of BJ Nilsen, but perhaps with a more opulent feel for dense, layered synthetic sensuality. Valerio's side utilises more natural harmonics from manipulated field recordings and the haptic textures of fingerprint whorls on tense strings or rubbed against glass, coupled with precise modular abstractions and the crucial appearance of a lone. David Sylvian-like vocal at its apex signalling a change from hi-end glisten into darker, anxious drones across its 17 minute lifespan. Remarkable material.
