Breakdown Kings is an eclectic group of individuals from Indianapolis, IN. The uniqueness of their music is a direct result of their uniqueness as human beings. With their style ranging from rock to rap, jazz to jam, R&B to funk it makes it almost impossible for people to put them in a specific genre. Each song instrumentally dips it's toes into different stylings while keeping it's hip-hop edge within the vocals. In 2009 Nate Muterspaugh and Jared Hiner found themselves fresh out of a band they had been in for close to a decade. The two decided to create something that they'd never seen or heard before. They began writing tracks immediately. They knew a talented drummer, Ryan Burwell, who joined the group and boosted their writing processes. Shortly after, they merged paths with A.C.E. O.N.E. and Skittz (Brian Philps), two of Indy's most prolific emcees. The music was instantaneous. Bryan Benson (guitar) joined the band two months later and they've been going strong ever since. With Eric Carter now sitting behind the kit the Breakdown Kings have elevated their game to an entirely new level. We are very proud of what we have created and are so fortunate to be able to what we love. The local support we have received has been amazing throughout the years and we cannot wait to branch out into a city near you very soon. We just released our sophomore album titled "Deep".
