The CD includes a remake of the song “Midnite Reggae Groove” which was Ron’s first solo single released in 1986. The CD also reflects Ron’s international travels as well. “We are the Children” was recorded in Helsinki, Finland in 1995 and “My Ragga Dolly Girly” written in 2008 while Ron was in the UK. This collection of songs exhibits Ron’s versatility as a songwriter, musician, producer and vocalist. He adds a live recording from 1987 at the Cotati Cabaret in Cotati, CA of the song “City Jail” which was dedicated to Nelson Mandela’s plight. Ron stays lyrically true to his walk with the MOST HIGH (GOD) and musically true to himself. Nothing but conscientiousness here but, Ron also provides some hip upbeat funky reggae tunes that will surely make you wanna move. Certainly not an arm chair philosopher, Ron is known for his wisdom, compassion and powerful walk with GOD as well as his love to “Party Hardy”. Tarumbae means “Prince of Black Love” which means to live in harmony with the earth and in rhythm with the universe. This name was given to Ron in 1982 in conjunction with his life time Nazarite vow to The Most High (GOD). In 1997, Ron was anointed with Holy Oil to Bishop in the “Order of Holiness” by Reverend Elbert Boykin, Sr. aka Big Wise Daddy. In 2006, he was affirmed as High Priest in the Order of Melchizedek and given the title (GODSON of the G-Funk). Not only through his music has Ron continued his walk with GOD, but his community work has been impeccable. Playaz and Playettes Inc (a non profit charitable artistic educational organization), which was founded by Ron in 1997 won the 2004 Governors Art Award in the State of Louisiana for its community work in Shreveport, LA. H & H Lounge (a night club that Ron oversaw for 9 years) along with Playaz and Playettes, Inc propelled and ignited the careers of many local, regional and national artists from North Louisiana. Ron, himself, has won several Northwest Louisiana Regional Music Awards.
