Written in May 2020, “ROOM” was a song birthed during the Covid-19 circuit breaker in Singapore, when the primary form of communication was online. Although Regina enjoyed the company during the unprecedented difficult period, she also cherished the time she had by herself. However, she found it difficult to reject the numerous invitations to online hangouts with her many friends and often felt obligated to participate. The song “ROOM” is written for the homebodies, the introverts, and the people pleasers. As Regina often writes music to serve as reminders to herself, she felt like this song was a good reminder that she could politely decline hangouts whenever. Regina, and collaborator Adriel, who has added an original verse to the song, hope that “ROOM” can bring comfort and peace to all the introverts out there who would prefer to spend time alone cosying up in their room.
