Grace Young is an up-and-coming artist from Saint John, New Brunswick in the Canadian Maritimes. She is gifted with a beautiful and natural worship style which flows from her with authenticity. Partnering with songwriter Jayne Luy, Grace simply knew how to the convey the music and meaning that Jayne strove to communicate in her writing. 'You Knew' reflects upon Christ's knowledge that his time on earth would end with his crucifixion, but he chose us anyway. 'Holy Spirit Sent of God' refers to the Holy Spirit's work in our life; a beautiful, hymn-like capturing of our relationship with him. 'Even If I Stand Alone' is a song inspired by Stephen in the book of Acts, the first Christ-follower to lose his life for his faith. This song is dedicated to the persecuted and underground Church. 'I Give You My Hand' was inspired by the tradition of German warriors at the time of the conflict between the Roman Empire and Germania. A declaration of 'I give you my sword' meant that that warrior was pledging his life and allegiance. In the same way, we pledge ourselves to God, through the laying down of our will and the continued reaching out of our hand to him.
