I penned this piece as a vehicle to showcase Rick McCullagh and his daughter Jenny on the same record and it all started to come together with the sessions with Rick and Jen held before Christmas. Jenny plays violin in touring band 'I Know Leopard' and Jen’s violin solo on this track is an absolute standout and perfectly complements Rick’s soulful ‘Mick Taylor’ style lead approach. The Rhythm section is powered by Matt Hirst on Drums (love the cymbals in Rick’s solo) and Alistair Johnson’s swirling rhythm guitar can be heard weaving through the various sections. About the lyric: Tom Hubble observed that the lyric appears to be about Melbourne – then I realised, of course it is – what was I thinking! About the title: Bizarrely, we get the most spins regular Spotify spins of our original recorded works in The Netherlands, so I decided to title this track in Dutch for our legions of fans in Noord-Holland.
