简介
"You ole fish eyed fool!"... that's what Aunt Esther used to call Fred Sanford on the television show Sanford and Son. It's also the name of a strange new band out of Savannah, Georgia who realize that following Jesus can look foolish to those who don't follow (see 1 Corinthians, chapter 1 and 2 Samuel, chapter 6) 'Fisheyed Fools' started as a worship band called 'Touch of Grey' who played for youth events Chuck (guitar) organized for his church. Initially they backed up musicians like Jesse Manibusan and Chris Muglia, but soon realized that they enjoyed playing together and had enough original material to be more than a backup band. When they discovered that another band from a town nearby used the same name, Gary (keyboards, horns) jokingly suggested 'Walleyed Fish Buckets' which then reminded Chuck of Esther's moniker for Fred G. Mike (Drums) liked the name too, so Gary created a logo and the rest is history that will one day be featured on VH1's Behind the Music (sans the stereotypical band drama that the show loves to feature). The Fools' self-titled, self-produced debut CD shows a range of musical styles from the band. R&B, guitar driven rock, contemporary praise and worship, Zydeco...no two songs are quite the same! Based in Savannah Georgia, the Fools have quickly become a favorite band for family/youth events across the Southeast.
