The song "AWAKE!!" was first recorded in Baltimore in 2009 as an answer to earthquake in Haiti. Since then, it has inspired many across the nation. Due to this, and God's grace, eight additional songs were written and recorded, and in 2011, the Album was born. Six years later in 2017, the songwriter, Jay Devaughn, decided to repackage "AWAKE!" But with four added songs written between 2012 and the current year. And with the turmoil brought about by a feuding government structure, warring countries, and natural disasters indirectly serving as wake up calls for USA and abroad, it was evident that this Album, and ultimately this song, was undeniably necessary to help pull us to together as one. "AWAKE!!" encourages, strengthens, and enlightens. It lets everyone know that we are all stronger together!
