MJ rocks! While she truly appreciates all genres of music, her love is Rock-n-Roll. She grew up in the South where the music often takes the form of Boogie Rock. While developing a passion for song-writing, she realized no matter how sensitive the lyrics, she liked a strong back-beat behind them.

MJ is a veteran of independent rock, honing her skills in Austin, TX. during the late 80's and the early 9o's. She has toured and recorded extensively, and she established her own label in 1999, emMaJane Productions.

Her talent is mammoth. Her main writing tool is the piano, but she is accomplished on acoustic and electric guitars as well as organ. MJ's vocals can go from gnarly blues tones to sweet and sensitive in a heartbeat.

Her newest release, HERE TO HERE, captures the power of an MJ live performance while offering up some production gems that make the album shine. It's bluesy and very groovy. And most people - seriously - never play it just once.
