RF is label run by Canadian DJ and creator, Rennie Foster. An underdog's endeavour, with the original spirit of subculture and conscious expression at the core. Genres are only reference points to be exploited, and typical rules of cookie cutter dance music are challenged. Many eras and styles are referenced, often within the same track, and the result is truly underground music for DJs who are not into playing the stuff everyone else is. Pulling from Rennie's catalog of tracks and remixes on vinyl only labels, and previously self-released works as well, "Selekwerk" is a series of compilations meant to shed some light on some of RF's past work that may have slipped under your radar the first time around.
