In early 2009, Laila summoned the courage to ask her dad (Bird Bellony, lead guitar, singer, songwriter of Reggae Cowboys) if she could try vocals on "4 Ever Wantin' U", one of his many works in progress. First take was all it took and the next nine songs unfolded in an easy flow. Laila's natural talent and interpretation of the lyrics developed into the father and daughter collaboration for the earthy and fresh sound of the New Generation.
