简介
"Welcome to the New South"...This is what fans have been yelling since the taste of deadly venom discreetly disguised as lyrics were unleashed to the streets of Alabama. How can you measure the degree of heats that is coming through your speakers when you listen to two kings take their crowns? Let this be known ...SOUTHERN PLAYAZ have arrived. Beginning with their 2003 underground single, "WE COMING", they created a buzz in their city which would lay the groundwork needed to prepare everyone for what was about to come. Virtually unknown to the public and other groups breaking ground in the area, they patiently took their time to look at their local music scene and make a choice to save it or watch it drown in an ocean of mainstream madness. One song is all that it took to set them apart from the rest and prove they could carve a pathway for their songs to roll forth. SOUTHERN PLAYAZ, which is comprised of members E-Boy & Polo Jr. have both penned rhymes in their notebooks since they were both young watching their Wicked Westside Streets teach them the game. Their street-savvy lyricism has presented itself smoothly to every ear listening to their new hit single, "WHO YOU RIDIN' WIT." This song gives vicious representation of the state in the clique called the "Dirty South "to step into the light. Dominating the charts of their own city from the day this single premiered on the southeast's largest station WZHT-Hot 105.7, it still remains one of the most requested songs and remains on the countdown. "The streets love it!" is what one fan shouted when they called the station requesting to hear SOUTHERN PLAYAZ rip open their stereo. Not only did the radio listeners request their smash hit into rotation with WJWZ-97.9 Jams, another local station, but it has hit the airwaves deep across the southern states from Louisiana to Georgia. The B-side to their single offers you the sweet taste of "SOUTHERN COMFORT", which is an appropriate title for Southern Playaz's glimpse in their world when the sun goes down and the lights go out and the children have been put to sleep. Both songs show the versatility and raw elements that make them sound like nothing you've heard thus far and everything you've been waiting for. The last piece to the musical puzzle is finally here. Never again will you turn your radio on without hearing these southern gentlemen drop hit after hit...a new day has definitely begun and the SOUTHERN PLAYAZ are here. The world has been warned. Once again... Welcome to the New South!
