Colin Jenkins takes a new musical aim at infusing elements of 70s soft pop with 90s R&B. Jenkins' debut album, released in March 2018, "Re: fwd: FWD:" is a hook-focused, bruised-heart, shotgun of PBR&B. Jenkins' sound is a nod to retro blue-eyed soul, placed over a bed of modern production. The album's vocal delivery feels as clean as a brand new pair of sneakers; and lyrically, Jenkins croons about tongue-in-cheek references, which include a loathing of Golden State Warrior bandwagoning to a turbulent relationship with one's weed dealer.
