Fall of 2003 Avery and Willie—6th graders at the time—joined up to play the Aeorsmith anthem “Dream On” for our middle school talent show. Marsh Mahon—an 8th grader—agreed to play bass with us. Lucky for us, we had a place to record our original songs—Charlottesville’s fabulous Music Resource Center (MRC). We started getting gigs! Mahon saw the band’s potential and signed on for real. We won first place ($1000) in the ACAC battle of the bands. We used the money to get our CD out there. (It’s called “Dreamers”) C-ville wrote a cover story about us
