Jimmy Fuchette Jumpin' In My Mind Yellin' ... When Jimmy Fuchette releases his latest mixtape "Jimmy Meet World", one thing will be loud and clear: Houston, we have a problem! This follow up to his debut mixtape "J.I.M.M.Y.” shows not only much he’s matured musically, but the tremendous amount of work he’s put in to perfecting his craft as well. Right off the bat with an ingenious introduction titled “Metaphoria" Jimmy delivers a punch after punch after punch performance that dares to go heads up with anyone in the game. This statement making opening track boasts way more than it’s fair share of hip hop quotables, and will surely leave any listener eager to see what the rest of the tape has to offer. As it continues to push forward, "Jimmy Meet World" touches on a wide array of topics that take the listener through a lyrical journey of some of the moments that formed Jimmy into who he is today. While tracks such as "Dearly Departed" and "Trill City, TX" easily prove to be solid party songs, they also hold a slightly deeper meaning which foreshadows the issues that would later become the focus of this mixtapes' more personal tracks “T.I.M.M.Y." and "Heaven Help". During this brief mood change, Jimmy opens up about some of his struggles with addictions and how they affected his faith. It doesn’t take long for him to regain focus, though, and with songs such as “Focus", "Cold War" and “Blueprint" being the driving force, "Jimmy Meet World" takes a turn toward the inspiring and philosophical. “At the core of this project,” describes Jimmy “lies a hard headed coming of age story. Everything I worked for my whole life seemed to disappear in a matter of minutes when I got hurt. My music is the story of how I made it back." Among some of the other notable gems on the project are the hippy-ish, social norm challenging Change Your Mind and the retro feeling groover Mona Lisa as well as others. Jimmy Fuchette was born and raised in Missouri City, TX and began making music in 2008 after he was injured and returned back home from fulfilling a basketball scholarship at Washington State University. He’s always had a passion for writing and poetry, and it shows in his willingness and cunning ability to effectively express how he feels and how life affects him personally. It’s that same passion that also gives his music more of a genuine, authentic feel rather than the generic impression left by so many others. His unorthodox flow and smooth delivery give him a sound like none other while his clever wordplay and carefully thought out lyrical content really make him stand out from the rest. Jimmy released his debut mixtape “J.I.M.M.Y.” in the summer of 2013 and hasn’t stopped working since.
