The James Simmins story began amidst the hazy rush of mid-nineties indie-rock London. Having hung out and had countless close shaves with success with various acts along the way, he finally gets out his first solo album. With songs that are thoughtful and catchy beneath downbeat vibes, the feel of hypnotic melodies and hook lines whistle away like the bliss of pure ecstasy. Retrospective, personal, yet efflorescent, these twelve songs take you on a journey from hope to despair and back again. The title "Musicke Of Division" is a quote from the poem "What is our life?" by Sir Walter Raleigh, the famous medieval hero/ villain.
