Nottingham got its start back in 2010 with their debut album Talk to Strangers, and was quick to get in the van and tour around the US playing everything from small hole-in-the-wall shows in front of 10 people, to opening for National acts like Sum 41, The Ataris and Cartel. The band began work on a follow-up album in late 2011, but the project didn't end up coming together, and the band took a hiatus as members moved around and moved on to other adventures. However, in 2014 they picked back up the unfinished project with a new perspective, re-recorded and re-arranged that batch of those into what would become Moving Day: a piece of work that completes the link between youthful days of a band in a van with big dreams, and the future of a group who simply wants to create and share music true to their influences and interests. 2015 looks to be a fresh start for the band, who is already working on new songs that represent where Nottingham is at musically these days, and they hope to use Moving Day as a re-introduction to listeners who might be interested in following Nottingham towards whatever they create next.
