简介
By Karen q Temple Described as multicultural folk, there are certainly broad influences here, noticeably Celtic, Latin and Arabic. This makes for enjoyable diversity between the tracks, although the album still retains cohesion as an entire work. The listenability is enhanced by the appealing voice of Catherine Tunks on four of the tracks. Intelligent ordering of the songs has broken up what may otherwise come across as monotonic vocals of Wolf himself. The album is certainly a pleasant listen; nice melodic tunes and arrangements with some great use of trumpet and strings, but few hooks. Wolf's songwriting shows out as well as some excellent musicianship. Described by a reviewer in Ireland (where Wolf has been based) as "the best locally released album I've ever reviewed", if you enjoy folk music with a difference or acoustic pop it is most certainly worth a listen.
