AFA is Jonathan Bradshaw and siblings Josh Bywater and Jenna Bywater. It is their purpose to constantly better themselves and to continually strive towards excellence. Their sound derives from the various influences each of them has had; from Beethoven to Hendrix, and from Sinatra to Demon Hunter, every experience has helped to shape them into who they are today and who they are becoming in the future.

'Equation of A Dream' is AFA's first release and its songs ask the questions: Are we who we think we are and are we all that we COULD be? Musical tension coupled with tight harmonies presents an image of a world that has been filled with struggle and disappointment. The final answer to the album is in its single, 'Dreams', where the lines, "This life is mine/ to live or let die/ the mistakes I've made/ won't take me to my grave", exclaim that no matter what has happened in the past or what is coming in the future, there is a way to still push forward, there is still a way to reach towards our dreams.
