For some reason, I always find it difficult to think of an exciting way to describe my own music. If I compiled descriptions of it from my friendss it would probably sound something like, "Odd, quirky, and Taylor Swift-y" (guess which one of those is not an actual adjective). But what is just as important to me as my music itself is the reason why I make music: I write it not only as a creative outlet for myself and my feelings, but also to do for others what music has always done for me. I want my music to be there for someone when others may not be. I can't even count the amount of times that I have been thankful for a good song that I could listen to when I just feel like crying in my room, or something that can make me happy and want to dance even on my worst days. I hope that my music can put a smile on someone's face, brighten their day, or bring them some solace, just like the artists who have inspired my very own path as a songwriter have done. Maybe someone out there will relate to the experiences in these songs and find the courage to go out into the world and bring happiness to someone else with their own creation.
