简介
1. Slingin – Storytelling in a three-part hook explaining each verse. First verse talks about a woman slingin her body second verse talks about slingin drugs and third verse talks about giving some advice to fam to stop hustling before it's to late. Explained in the chorus: "watch for the niggas and drama they be bringin the kids got nothing to live for but slingin." Imagine nothing to live for but hittin that block, getting that paper and selling yourself. 2. I Told You So – It’s like I saw that one coming. Like I said it’s that political marketing for entertainment. When I made this song I was thinking of HBO and they did Floyd Mayweather 24/7 as some music to work out to. Also similar to Public Service Announcement on Jay-Z's The Black Album. 3. Get Your Money Up - Ballers words, a gamblers heaven, a broken man’s hell. It’s the thing hustler’s say when their talking sh*t, whether gambling or even battling so I made this straight-forward hook. 4. Live With - Straight up lyrics what more can I say I felt like going back to the essence of rap. Where it was about beats and rhymes. On this song you will not believe some of lines that come out of my mouth. Even the engineer when I was recording this said I was talking real slick. Like that line about Frankie Limon and that kind of reaction and the line about what I would do to Freddy Kruger. 5. Religious Drug - A comparison to the streets and religion. This song makes you ask yourself some questions: Why do the wicked believe in god? Why do drug dealers believe in god and addicts turn to god? Why does it take a crisis to change? When I started to make this song it was a joke I never thought this song would get this type of reaction from people. 6. From the heart - This is about the real life story, the struggle of Fanatic's family. The song tells the story of my life what it took to make me the man I am today. I'm rapping about dreams that some family members just gave up. To me just hearing the beat makes you write a song deep and emotional, I had to talk about my family’s struggle as a tribute to them. 7. My Pen - Whatever you wanna call it this is straight spittin’ rhymes. I mean my pen fucks the paper I breed new life into these tracks. So it takes the meaning when artist say: "making songs is like making babies ". Bringing back to ill penmanship. “Make you think what kind of pen I have? When I say my pen fucks the paper”. 8. Black Cinematic - Movie quotes in rhyme form it is a clever way to use movie quotes without completely ripping off the film. Also it’s a witty and humorous look at life. It has a beat that you can dance to a Spanish style going back to the Camp Lo way of rhyming. 9. I Know You - This is a story about my family talking about growing up in Bullocks Point the first place I remember talking about growing up with my Dad and my two brothers taking a look at what my dad wanted for his own life. And the phrase I know you I’ve known you all your life taking it back to the beginning. 10. Darkness After Sunshine - As the saying goes saying things can get worse before they get better, if you happen to be out when the next day comes you will see some crazy things go down. It's happens at night mostly you see on the news like the movie Nightcrawler reports all the bad things such as crime that happen during the night when the worse can get worse that makes one pray harder. 11. Sacrifices - Every action there's a reaction and in this song I am using a rhyme scheme cause and affect some new way of concept rhyming putting my listeners in deep thought like the line I said about the "Ice makes the cold drink." If I was to visualize this song in video I pictured it to be the introduction of HBO's The Wire. 12. Reach Threw the Bwith my cousin who was in prison. It takes a look at both worlds inside or outside looking in. This is one the most political songs on the album that deals with family at the same time. This song shows family love even threw thru the rough times. Such as being locked up and keeping him in our prayers. 13. The World Is Mine - Getting through the challenges and coming out with a victory. As the song says the World Is Mine it comes from the movie Scarface. When I heard the beat I thought of that movie with earlier Wu-Tang melodies in the song like "Can It Be All So Simple." It takes a look at where I’m headed and the effect of what I'm headed for.
