简介
A number of years ago, I started on a musical journey that has introduced me to many new places and people. Thanks to Jon and Donovan for your input into this album and for encouraging me to carry on. Thanks, as well, to my family, friends, and neighbours for your past and continuing support of my music. For those just tuning in, I hope the spirit of these songs comes through the hiss and crackle of this old analog recording! All production, lyrics, music, instrumentation, vocals, and engineering by Mark Penner except Modern World and Gotta be a Man, backround vocals by Donovan Epp. Recorded at the Salvage Studio for Heartland Productions in association with Master Tapes. Cover photograghy and layoout by Jon Enns Keep on my dear, sweet lady, on the road that's straight and true, Keep on fathers and mothers who've guided our way through, Keep on you music makers, let the mighty rhythm flow, That lifts the Higher Power, and heals a broken soul. Keep on you weary plowmen who love the gift of earth, May it once again be fruiful, may it once again give birth. Keep on young Indian brave with a heart that burns so bright, Keep on those in need of justice, may it come like a thief at night. Keep on Mr. Blue Collar Worker, who has hungry mouths to feed. Keep on you poor in spirit, may you recieve your deepest need. Keep on Mr. White Collar Worker, with the gift to rule and lead, May you long for peace and wisdom, and not fall to the hands of greed. Keep on all you truth seekers in the golden age of lies, May the truth that you've been seeking stand the test of time So keep on, keep on, my friends so dear, on this road that never ends, May the light of life go with you, until we meet again! - Mark
