简介
I had given up. It had been over 20 years since my last record released on Columbia Records in 1979 under the name The Allen Harris Band, and I had moved on. I am a father, a businessman, who was busy being responsible...very responsible. Then I made a mistake. I decided to record some songs for my son Ian, who I thought might some day want to hear what his father did in his crazy youth (It probably had something to do with turning 50, or maybe the thought of being attractive to some 20 year old college girl was behind it, or that my hair might stop receding, who knows). Anyhow, 2 years, and many hundreds of hours in a recording studio later... I was done. The truth is that music has always been the only activity, which makes me forget all other activities. Like breathing, it must be done! Did I mention that I (we) had a lot of fun? I was very fortunate to get help from some great musicians including: Eric ( Mr. Stack) Rath on bass; Warren Bernhardt (Steely Dan, Solo Albums) on piano, Ira Segal (google his discography its too long to list) on electric guitar; Lorenza Ponce ( Bon Jovi and many more) on violin; Bobbie Sabella on drums; and many more. Keeping calm in the storm was Alan Houghton at Dubway Studios who engineered this Montessori like project. Give it a listen...if you don't like it move on. But please what ever you do, keep the fire burning...
