Biography Singer Songwriter Matt Anderson was born into a military family on the 22nd April 1982, between St George’s day and the Queen’s birthday, during the conflict of the Falklands’ War. His place of birth was Freedom Fields in Plymouth. He started writing his own songs as therapy to deal with personal problems. His songs are truth for people to relate to. He calls it Music From The Soul, about his journey through life. After leaving The British army Matt lost everything including his soul and moved to France to join The French foreign legion. While waiting in France to join he lived in caravans in various towns throughout France and Italy working and living with travellers, in this time was given a guitar and prolificully started writing songs, deciding to move back to the UK and promote himself. Invigorated by his passion for music, he had decided to finally take his music seriously and begin a new career path. Matt considers his musical influences to include Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, The Who,The Beatles ,Metallica, Mike Ness, Nirvana, oasis,Paul Weller, Johny Cash, Elvis, Creedence clearwater revival, Billy Bragg, his military upbringing and life.He has produced his first album, 'Release The Demons', and has recently finished his latest acoustic album 'music from the soul'. He is currently in the studio working on his next album 'Learning to live with the crazy'. He has also written and produced several of his own music videos for his songs. With music videos on-line, gigs and festivals lined up throughout the uk & europe and many followers already, he has plans and projects in the pipeline to expose him to a world needy of truth in music and humility in song-writing.
